Studies have been carried out to reduce the current high energy consumption, aiming energy optimization and reduction of the environmental impact resulting from this problem. One alternative is the use of electrochromic materials in the production of smart windows, and in this work, two different layers of this device are studied. First, a study related to the influence of weathering and temperature on the electrochemical and morphological properties of thin films of CeO2 and CeO2:V2O5 for use as a counter electrode was carried out.
